Patterned Wallpaper

Авторская аннотация

Freedom is when you don’t have to make your artwork about something big or important. When you can just create without worrying about how others will judge it or what meaning they will find. It’s easy to lose this freedom when you fill yourself with rules, expectations, or other people’s ideas of what is “right” or “important.” Freedom is the ability to play with form, color, and pattern without turning the process into an obligation. The opposite of this freedom is control, comparison, and the need to “justify” every brushstroke or line on paper. True artistic value shows itself in the fact that art can exist simply because the artist wants it to. Each viewer can find their own meaning, but it doesn’t need to be forced on anyone. Creating without pressure is what makes art real and free.

In the painting, there is a boy in a sweater against pale patterned wallpaper. There are no complicated symbols or hidden references — just a moment that is pleasant to observe. The patterns and calm colors create a quiet space where you can pause, look, and just be yourself. Everything is simple and clear, yet each person can find their own meaning in it.

This work speaks about the freedom to create without pressure, without the need to “carry meaning”. It is a purely artistic interpretation of the value of freedom through composition, the boy’s gaze and emotions, the calm palette, and the patterned wallpaper.
